Finland's tour first park hide is found in Espoo

Instructions and clues to the hides can be found on their own page as well as on the map.

The global conquest of park hides continues, and Finland’s tour first park hide can now be found in Espoo at Träskända Park, as Children’s Cultural Centre Pikku-Aurora accepted the challenge and hid Espoo’s first park hide in this delightful park.

There are currently 28 park hides in Helsinki and one in Espoo. Little Helsinki challenges Finnish cities and municipalities to create their own park hide for the delight of seekers. Instructions and ready-made materials already exist, so participation is very easy.

The very first clues to park hides were published on Helsinki Day, June 12, 2018, and now include Helsinki’s playgrounds, the Design Museum and Architecture Museum, Korkeasaari Zoo and the Market Square area, as well as volunteer parents behind the hides. The project has been a success and has received a lot of positive attention from seekers and various media outlets alike; for example, Helsingin Sanomat wrote about park hides on July 15, 2018, and on the other side of the world in Taiwan, park hides and Little Helsinki were featured in a current affairs publication.

Park Hide 2018 is a collaborative project between Little Helsinki and Helsinki’s playgrounds. The visual identity of Park Hide 2018 was designed by young Helsinki-based visual designer Lotta Maija Paananen (www.lottamaija.com).

But what exactly is a park hide? More information about park hides and the idea behind them can be found on Little Helsinki’s website.

Instructions and clues to the hides can be found on their own page as well as on the map.
