What to do during fall break in Finland?

What to do during fall break week with children? Small Finland's fall break tips take you to neighboring cities and beyond: playgrounds, forest hikes, adventures and cultural experiences.

Small Helsinki's fall break tips are compiled for families with children under 10 years old.

SMALL FINLAND

Small Finland takes you on adventures around Finland. The website's idea is to offer tips and ideas for families for summer vacation trips, cottage trips or day trips with children. The main focus of the service is the children's perspective: what fun, interesting, amusing or new things should be experienced and what would you recommend to other families traveling with children. The guiding principle is Small Helsinki's underlying philosophy: everything easily in one place, recommended by experience experts and new adventures: for children an experience is often a fine harbor crane, a nice nature hike or a great carousel in a new playground.

You can access Small Finland's tip map here.

SIPOO

Small Helsinki's Home by Evening series article for Eastern Uusimaa can be found here.

Sipoonkorpi National Park offers many possibilities for mushroom hikes or admiring fall colors. With small hikers it's worth heading to, for example, the Pony's Traditional Post Trail, which is designed to be easily accessible for small children. Small Helsinki's background team recommends that those hiking with small children pack good snacks in a backpack and head to a campfire or shelter location to enjoy snacks and explore the surrounding area before returning the same way - since the trail becomes partly along a car road toward the end and causes unnecessary challenges for small hikers.

On Sipoonkorvi National Park's Pony's Traditional Post trail, there is varied nature and much to see.
