Autumn Week Activities

What child-friendly things to do can you find in Helsinki? Where to go with small children on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Pienten Helsinki's weekly series searches for activity tips and recommends child-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the site is preschool-aged children and families with young children.

Where to go this week returns to its familiar rhythm after a short break and lists 31 autumn week events in Helsinki and the surrounding area. This week you can go to the Herring Markets, have adventures at the Light Carnivals, jump around at Movement Parties, dance at Children’s Music Festivals, and create art at Art Clinics and workshops. Pienten Helsinki’s Where to go this week article tips you on everything happening in the city for families with preschool-aged children.

Updates on the site: Pienten Helsinki and site advertisements. We are looking for ways to finance the site’s operating costs and are trying site-appropriate advertising for the first time. If an advertising space interests you, feel free to contact me and I’ll tell you more (mari at pientenhelsinki.fi).

New: Pienten Helsinki app on your phone!

Pienten Helsinki now also works as a PWA app. You can install Pienten Helsinki on your Android or iPhone by simply opening the site in Chrome or Safari and selecting the share button Add to home screen. A PWA app differs from a traditional app in that it doesn't need to be installed separately from the App Store or similar. Practically speaking, the content is exactly the same as in a browser, but theoretically loads faster. Pienten Helsinki doesn't require registration to work now, and never will.
