Updated 30.11.2017What activities suitable for children can be found in Helsinki? Where to go with small children on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Little Helsinki’s weekly series searches for activity tips and recommends child-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the website is children under school age and their families.
In the Where to go tips, November turns into December and CHRISTMAS themed events are becoming more and more abundant. The first Christmas route takes you into a festive atmosphere on Sunday in Vuosaari, St. Thomas’s Market takes over Senate Square, and the Fortification Hill route in Suomenlinna offers adventures. The giant soap bubble group Ruffle Army’s amazing soap bubble shows can be seen on Friday and Saturday in Esplanade Park. Read the tips for the week and explore Helsinki! Library 10 opens its first children’s own art exhibition. 8-year-old Leo Pesonen has the honor of being the first artist whose creation fills the library’s exhibition space. Leo Pesonen’s exhibition is on display from 13.11–3.12.2017 and can be admired during library hours.
