What kid-friendly activities can you find in Helsinki? Where to go with children on weekends? Or what to do on a rainy day? Pienten Helsinki's weekly series looks for activity tips and points out child-friendly events in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The website targets families with preschool-aged children.
Where to go this week -article continues with a slightly modified concept. The article lists highlights of the week's events and the week's most interesting activity tips. Also included are highlights from Pienten Helsinki articles and news. The future of the page is wide open. If you want your advertisement to reach this target audience perfectly, read more here.
Family city paths: The first four Family city paths are now published! The first city paths take you on an adventure in Helsinki: to Haaga, Pitäjänmäki, Ruskeasuo, and Vuosaari.
Family city paths are a new type of urban tourism concept that takes you on an exploration tour to new places and shows familiar neighborhoods in a new light. It also challenges you to think about whether it's always necessary to travel far to experience something new and unprecedented. City paths are part of Heidi Säynätkari's restaurant management studies thesis, which is implemented in collaboration with Pienten Helsinki. "The idea for city paths came from my own interest in urban tourism with children, and especially the desire to get to know cities outside city centers."
You can also create your own path and share it with other adventurers!

OmaStadi voting is ongoing throughout October and there are many great suggestions. Pienten Helsinki recommends (selfishly) checking out at least the Crowdfunding for good ideas -proposal as well as the proposal to get a playground in the city's finest park.
