Welcome to a whole family adventure!

A Moomin adventure arrives at DCA's Helsinki city center and Espoo locations on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The event is also visited by the beloved Moomin character Moomintroll!

During the day, visitors dive into the world of the Moomins through dance, movement, and creativity. The program includes dance sessions, an adventure-themed obstacle course, crafts with Moomin-themed props, and opportunities to be transported to the Moomin Valley through stories. The highlight of the event is getting to dance with Moomintroll, meet him face-to-face, and capture a memorable photo in his arms.
Additionally, children can collect stickers from each adventure they experience, and at the end of the day, everyone receives a diploma as a memento of this magical day.

This is a unique Moomin experience where the gentle atmosphere of Moomin Valley comes to life through movement, music, and encounters. Welcome to create memories that will stay with you for a long time!

Spring season begins! Albert's Living Room is open during the spring season 2026 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Free admission.

The program for playroom Loru at Central Library Oodi on Tuesday:
- 10:30–11 a.m. Loru moves, gentle movement for parent and baby (0-9 months)
- 1 p.m.–1:30 p.m. In Loru's warmth – baby session
- 2 p.m.–2:30 p.m. I Ramsans värme, music, rhymes, and nursery rhymes for babies

Art for Toddlers workshop (Open Studio for Toddlers Workshops) at Caisa Cultural Center (Kaikukatu 4 B) on Tuesdays 1:30–3:30 p.m. Workshops are suitable for children aged 1.5–3 years with their own adult. No advance registration, free admission. You can participate in the workshops for the full time or just pop in.

BirdLife's Backyard Birdwatch is Finland's largest bird event. In this event designed for everyone interested in nature, birds are observed for one hour in your own yard or another location.

Espoo: Snowflake Balls art workshop at Aurora Children's Cultural Center on Saturday 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Free admission.
Espoo: Museum of Play Block Party on Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Museum admission fee.
Sibafest at the Music Center on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Free admission.
Note: This year, the event does not appear to have programming specifically aimed at children, but many of the day's events are suitable for children to experience.

Backyard Birdwatch on Saturday and Sunday.
BirdLife's Backyard Birdwatch is Finland's largest bird event. In this event designed for everyone interested in nature, birds are observed for one hour in your own yard or another location.

Sports Hulinat at Sports Mill (Jauhokuja 3) in Myllypuro on Sunday 9–10:45 a.m., January 18 – March 15, 2026.
Sports Hulinat offers children under 9 years old and their families the opportunity to move in various ways and have fun. You can arrive according to your own schedule, strollers can be left in the hallway, and you should bring your own lock for the locker room. Tickets: 3.60 € adults, others 2.10 €, children under 9 free.
