  • What should we do today? Check out tips for boring days from Pienten Helsinki!
  • Dance and play workshops at cultural center Caisa (Kaikukatu 4 B) in the Maissi space on Mondays. Toddlers (1-3 years) dance with their own adult at 9:15 am and preschoolers (3-5 years) at 10:15 am. The Dance and Play workshop inspires and guides Helsinki parents and children to create and experience dance art together. You can participate in the workshop instruction whenever it suits you, at all sessions or just some. Choose a time that works for you and come on time. No pre-registration, places filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Space for 12 first arrivals. Free admission.
  • The Wonderful Painter performance at Roihuvuori playground on Monday at 10:15 am. Free admission. More information from the Wonderful_Painter_performance IG account.
  • Mushroom exhibition at Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden on Monday from 11 am–5 pm. Mushroom advice and exhibition viewing are free of charge; otherwise, regular admission fees apply. The outdoor garden of Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden is always free to enter.
  • Family Hulinat offer children under school age and their parents a space where they can move together freely and free of charge. On Mondays, Family Hulinat are held:

    - Family Hulinat at Tapanila Elementary School (Veljestenpiha 2) Mondays from 5–6:30 pm on October 2–December 11, 2023 (not in week 42).

What Happens at Playgrounds on Monday

  • Playgrounds and family centers have returned to regular schedules. The indoor spaces of the parks are open to families on weekdays mainly from 9 am–12 pm, afternoons are reserved for school children.   • At Loru Playground on Monday:
    - 10:30–11:00 Loru Moves – movement session for those over 2 years old

  • Clinic Park on Tuesdays from 9:30 am–1:00 pm in the lower hall of Kamppi Family Center. Free admission.
  • At the Natural History Museum you can see a walrus that had an adventure in Hamina last summer, starting Tuesday onwards.
  • The Wonderful Painter performance at Myllynsiippy playground (Myllypuro) on Tuesday at 10:15 am. Free admission. More information from the Wonderful_Painter_performance IG account.
