Easter week events
What suitable activities for children are available in Helsinki? Where to go with small children on weekends? What to do on a rainy day? Little Helsinki's weekly series looks for activity tips and suggests child-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. The target audience of the site is pre-school children and families with small children.
Where to go this week article continues to be published with a slightly changed concept. The article lists the highlights of the week's events and the most interesting activity tips of the week. It also includes highlights from Little Helsinki's new articles and news. The future of the page is still open, but we will continue with this concept for the spring.

Art Advisory Clinic for 3-6 year-olds at Malmitalo on Monday at 10. This week at the art clinic we'll see with our fingers. Winter Garden is filled with the splendor of Easter flowers and Easter decorations and invites everyone to enjoy the spring atmosphere from 16.4.-23.4.2019 (open on Tuesday 9-15 and Wednesday and Thursday 12-15). During Easter, from Friday to Monday, the Winter Garden is open 12-16. Entry to the garden is free. Walking with strollers in the greenhouses is challenging, so for the smallest children it's worth bringing, for example, a baby carrier. You can eat your own snacks at the Winter Garden; in previous years there has also been a small café in the garden during events.
Puppet Theatre Sytkytin Easter Story performance at the Winter Garden
on Tuesday at 9.30 and 10.30. Entry to the performance is free.
Family ball games in the Pallomill indoor hall at Myllypuro sports park. In family ball games, all children under 9 move on soft artificial turf with their own adult. Free play, acrobatics, running or learning to walk. Family ball games on Tuesdays 9.30-11.30 and 16-18. Opening of Helsinki's City Hall renovated hall is celebrated on Tuesday 10-17.30. From now on, the hall is a place for anyone interested in the city and its future. More information about the day's program can be found in the city's event calendar.

Tip for babies and parents: BabyKino at Kallio library. You can go to the movies with your baby on Wednesdays at 12 and 14.30. The cabin is located in the Uutela outdoor recreation area, right next to Skatan farm and the Särkkäniemi nature reserve. From Aurinkolahti Café Kampela to the cabin is just over a kilometer. Little Helsinki as an app on your phone!
Little Helsinki now also works as a PWA app. You can install Little Helsinki on your Android or iPhone by simply opening the page in Chrome or Safari browser and selecting Add to home screen from the share menu ("add to home screen"). A PWA app differs from a traditional app in that it does not need to be separately installed from the App Store or similar. Practically the content is exactly the same as in the browser, but the page loads faster.
Little Helsinki does not require registration to work now, and never will.
