What kid-friendly activities can be found in Helsinki? Where to go with children on weekends or summer vacation? What to do on a rainy day? Pienten Helsinki's weekly series seeks activity tips and highlights family-friendly places in Helsinki and the surrounding area. In addition to events, summer month tips include suggestions for spending days off. The site targets preschool-age children and families with children.

Family City Routes
In the coming months, Pienten Helsinki will publish a new type of city tourism concept when restaurant management student Heidi Säynätkari creates city routes for families in several Helsinki neighborhoods as her thesis work. The launch of Family City Routes has been postponed due to server issues and the routes will be published as soon as possible!

Helsinki offers all children and youth under 16 a free lunch at playgrounds on weekdays at 12 o'clock until the beginning of August. You need to bring your own plate, eating utensils and beverage.

Pienten Helsinki as an app on your phone!
Pienten Helsinki now also works as a PWA app. You can install Pienten Helsinki on your Android or iPhone by simply opening the site in your Chrome or Safari browser and selecting "Add to home screen" from the share button. A PWA app differs from a traditional app in that you don't need to install it separately from the App Store or similar. In practice, the content is exactly the same as in the browser, but the page loads faster.
Pienten Helsinki does not require registration to function now, or ever.
