Little Helsinki's Children's Own Presidential Election 2024

Today, Sunday, Finland votes for a new president of the republic on the official voting day of the first round. In the presidential election, only adults can vote, but Little Helsinki decided to give children voting rights and the opportunity to have a say.

The children's own republic's play president election voting has ended and the vote counters have been working hard counting an surprisingly large number of votes. We now have the winner, the republic's new play president.

The competition was tight and all excellent candidates received a wonderful number of votes. The official election observers Ostrich, Penguin and Chicken called in Mouse, Cherry and Sausage Dog to help ensure that the votes were definitely counted correctly.

In Little Helsinki's and Little Finland's election, BUNNY has been elected as the republic's play president with an impressive 23.1% support! Bunny's election theme "Children are always right - let children's voices be heard!" certainly appealed to many young voters.

Second and third place were shared by Dog and Starfish with 20.1% support.

The children's own republic's play president election starts NOW and ends Sunday evening 28.1.2024 at 19:00. All children and children's friends are eligible to vote. The election result and winner will be announced as soon as possible after the voting ends, right after the official election observers Ostrich, Penguin and Chicken have confirmed the election result.
